Tabor Winery Unveils “Artisanal” Premium Collection to Elevate Israeli Wine on the Global Stage

As consumers and wine professionals continue to explore emerging wine regions and terroir-driven offerings, Tabor Winery is introducing a new premium collection designed to showcase the sophistication and diversity of modern Israeli winemaking.

The new brand, called Artisanal, marks a strategic evolution for the winery and reflects a growing international demand for small-batch, vineyard-focused wines with authenticity
and character. Positioned for restaurants, specialty wine retailers, sommeliers, and discerning consumers, the collection highlights Israel’s increasingly respected role in the global premium wine conversation.

Developed under the direction of Head Winemaker Or Nadbach, the Artisanal portfolio emphasizes balance, elegance, and site-specific expression. The wines are sourced from
carefully selected vineyards across some of Israel’s most distinctive growing regions, including the Galilee, Golan Heights, and Jerusalem Mountains. Each vineyard was chosen
for its unique soils, elevation, and microclimate, allowing the winery to craft wines that reflect the complexity of Israel’s Mediterranean terroir.

Early releases in the collection include Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marselan, and Roussanne, offering a range of varietals that combine Mediterranean character with
international appeal. Extended barrel aging, meticulous vineyard management, and a more focused production approach define the collection’s premium positioning.

“Artisanal is a natural evolution for Tabor and a reflection of how far Israeli winemaking has come,” said Roy Harel in the announcement. “With this collection, we are able to highlight the nuance of our vineyard sites and craft wines that truly express the diversity of Israel’s terroir.”

Nadbach brings both academic expertise and international experience to the role. A graduate of both the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of California, Davis, he previously completed an internship in Napa Valley before returning to Israel to continue his work with Tabor Winery. His winemaking philosophy focuses on structure, clarity, aging potential, and respect for terroir.

The launch also reflects a broader restructuring within Tabor Winery, which is now separating its portfolio into two distinct pillars: Artisanal, the winery’s curated premium collection, and Tabor, its broader range of approachable wines intended for everyday enjoyment.

Industry leaders say the timing is ideal as Israeli wines continue gaining traction among global wine buyers and hospitality professionals. According to Josh Greenstein, the launch
demonstrates the increasing sophistication of Israeli producers and their ability to compete in the premium wine market.

Tabor Winery, founded in 1999 and located in Israel’s Lower Galilee region, has long been recognized for its commitment to sustainability and innovation. The winery cultivates vineyards using environmentally conscious practices designed to preserve the balance between nature and winemaking.

Artisanal wines are now rolling out in select markets and will be available through leading restaurants, wine boutiques, and specialty retailers.
