Wines:
Montefiore Petite Sirah

Montefiore Petite Sirah is made from Petite Sirah grapes, grown in vineyards of the Judean Hills, which climb towards the  City of Jerusalem.

Petite Sirah is a variety that first came to Israel in the 1970′s. Initially it was planted to provide structure and color for inexpensive blends. More recently however, by using older vines and drastically reducing yields, wines of great individuality, character and quality have been produced.  Petite Sirah may well reflect the true Israeli terroir better than some of the more international varieties.
